• Question: Could hyperspace travel ever exist like in star wars?

      Well I must first say that I’ve never watched Star Wars! I have watched Star Trek though so I suppose it is kind of similar in this regard. In Star Trek they travel at light speed (“warp speed”) and even above! This is IMPOSSIBLE and could never happen. If you travelled really close to light speed (which would be possible) then you would see all types of weird effects like time dilation and length contraction.       Kind of annoying right? It would be cool if we could travel such massive distances so quickly, but we cannot violate the rules of physics I’m afraid.

      I think Evan’s answer has answered your question and it is a shame because it would be brilliant to travel to the far flung areas of galaxy and have a look.

      I am however more shocked that Evan has never seen Star Wars! How is that possible? Maybe he grew up in a bubble or something 🙂
