• Question: So there might have been life on Mars but it died because the water went?

      The answer is that nobody knows and that we have not found life on Mars yet. Scientists have been focusing on whether or not there is or has ever been liquid water on Mars and the evidence seems to say yes. It will be nice when one of our robots fills up a glass for us that we can bring back to Earth as the final proof though!

      There is certainly ice, as Mars has frozen poles just like we do on Earth. Check out these pictures:


      Here you can even see ice in a Mars rover footprint!

      If you google image “mars ice cap” or something like that you will find many more. Scientists think that there is liquid water underneath these ice caps. If there is water then there is a chance there is life!
