      Hmmm well a few things come to mind. One is that the Earth’s magnetic field is not that strong – a fridge magnet is stronger! So we can make magnets which are much stronger for uses like that, and that’s what I recommend. The second thing is that we already have magnetic levitating vehicles working on Earth. There are “maglev” trains working in Japan since 2003 and they are the fastest trains on Earth. If you go to Japan ever you should try them. I think they do nearly 600 kilometres per hour and they are so fast that people call them “bullet trains”.
