Probably, though we have to be careful about where we get the electricity from. It’s pointless all driving electric cars to save the environment if the electricity is produced in huge coal power stations spewing out pollution!

Well I think hydrogen cars are great. Ryan is right about the electric cars – if we charge them at home with electricity that is made from non-renewable sources it is a bit silly (although still better than petrol-fueled cars!). Still however I think petrol is too cheap (and I know it is way more expensive than ever!) and the oil industry controls things very cleverly that it will be a while before there is wide-scale adoption of these technologies. Some people are thinking ahead but the people in charge of the oil have LOADs of money and want to keep getting more so they suppress these technologies.

As Ryan and Evan have said, electric cars aren’t much better for the environment if the electricity is made from non-renewable sources.
I think hydrogen cars are a nice idea.
I would hope that the technology to develop new ways of powering cars and other things gets the money it deserves, because we are going to need this technology in the future.
