      Hey babygx,
Of course i have made a new product that went horribly wrong – its part of experimenting.
I have done it twice actually. If you read my profile you will see that I created some toffee and fudge for the dentist using powders called polyols. When i was trying to get my recipe right, i used too much of a chemical called Maltitol, because of the way that maltitol reacts with the air, i made a perfect product that looked and tasted great —– until i came back to it the next day! what looked like toffee before was now just a runny nasty grey mess!! Yuk!!!

Another time something has gone horribly wrong was when i was working on a new flavour for angel delight. I let the mixture of flavours cook for too long. It seemed okay and tasted okay at the time, to dry the mix into a powder you see in the packet, it goes through a process known as spray drying, after it had been through this process i was left with a powder that tasted of burnt toast instead of the lovely lemon and orange flavour i was trying to create. 🙁

Thats why i love science, because its okay to make things that don’t always work!!
