Well that depends on what you think is hard. Some people find science hard, some find writing poetry hard, some people find making things with their hands hard. It is different for everyone. I think that if you like something you tend to be good at it. And enjoy it!

So my recommendation for you, in college, Uni, work, whatever is do something you like and you will enjoy it! And you will be good at it. If you don’t care about your job it is hard to be good at it, but if you like it then you like getting up on Monday mornings! That is how you know! 🙂

A wise man once said: “Find a job you enjoy doing and you will never work a day in your life” and there is some truth in that.

Heard of the phrase ‘it’s easy when you know how’? Well with learning more things what you find hard at first gets easier. I always advise people to take things in small steps, its always easier that way!

If you’re interested in something then, no matter how complicated the maths or how confusing it gets, you find a way to make it easy! Things can start hard but then you learn the best way to do them, which makes it easy… then you find something else hard to do! It might not sound like it sometimes but it’s really fun.

Everybody is good at something. It can be science, sport, writing – all kinds of things.

I can imagine looking at the profiles of us Iron Zone Scientists it must be easy to assume that what we do is difficult – but we all had plenty of training and have gradually learnt all the stuff we know over many years. There’s no way I could be doing the science I do now without all that training.

So as the other scientists have said, do things one step at a time and for your future studies/work do something you enjoy – then it isn’t hard at all 🙂
