For my research I don’t actually get any money! In fact, to study for my PhD I have to pay the university and have a part time job to earn the money I need.

Most people who become scientists get money from research funding, which usually comes from the government or a big company. They will probably earn more than an average person and, if you’re really lucky, it can be tax free!
