Hmmm that is tricky. You mean science in school I think but if you think about it everybody is born as a scientist!
I bet when you were small you asked your parents questions like: “why is the sky blue?”. That was you investigating and asking “why?”. This is what science is! So I think I was always a bit of a scientist and probably so were you! If you hate the answers “because it just is”, “because I said so” and “don’t ask questions” and you want to know WHY then you have a scientific mind too! 🙂
I can’t really remember suddenly liking science, I think I probably liked it as soon as I realised what it was – I’ve always had a fairly inquisitive mind and so have always been interested in finding out about why and how things happen. But as Evan says everyone asks “why?” when they are little and I guess some people don’t grow out of it! 🙂
In school I found science lessons a bit more interesting than other lessons as you were often doing something (in practicals) rather than sitting at desks and finding stuff out for yourself rather than being told.
yeah – I think science experiments at school help you decide whether you enjoy science. If you like the experiments and want to know why it happened the way it did then you’re a scientist. People experiment all the time tho’, like changing a recipe to make a cake, or mixing paints differently…
I don’t remember a time when I didn’t enjoy science, in one form or another. I’ve always loved dinosaurs, searching for rocks and minerals, building lego (which is kind of science!) or looking for insects in my garden!
