• Question: I want to be an actor whaen I grow up, but if I do not succeed I want to be a scientist who works on chemicals, can you please give some lessons I would need to take to get the job?

I would suggest focusing on Chemistry and Maths if you want to work with chemicals. Biology can be really useful though, when working with chemicals found in plants and animals or if you want to design drugs (this is called Pharmacology). Physics can also be useful, if you get really into the complex theory of chemistry where you need to think about the molecules, atoms and how they make up chemicals!

Also, I think it will be a really good idea to focus on chemistry while doing acting as a hobby. A friend of mine did this whilst getting his masters degree in electrical engineering and is now a professional actor and stunt man!

I agree with Ryan you should do chemistry in school. Then if your acting doesn’t work out, or you feel like a change, then you will know your chemistry and be able to work in that, but I can’t see why you can’t do both! 🙂

Yeah, I would take as many science options as you can.

When you get beyond school the sciences tend to blur into each other a bit more, so depending on what type of chemicals you want to work with, physics and/or biology would also be needed and Maths is always good to have. And also that way if your specific interest in science changes a bit you still have all your scientific options open 🙂

But like the others, I think you should start off trying to both!
