I was a bit of all of them! Of course, I loved science, so was kind of a geek, but I would spend a lot of time in the gym, which makes me kind of a jock, and I would listen to lots of alternative music, so I was a bit of a rebel too!

I guess I was probably a geek – I was pretty smart and near the top of the class in most subjects, so that ticks the geek box if you want to apply labels.

But I was also an unusual type of rebel in that I actually found school really boring. That might not make sense as I got good marks in everything and people assumed I loved school, but I found there just wasn’t enough information about the things I was learning about in school. But I kept on working and getting good marks because I knew once I got to university it would be different. And I was right university was way better than school!

I’m still always learning about stuff outside work, whether it’s history or all types of science – I love it all 🙂

I guess i was a geek in my science lessons as its the only subject i actually took notice in lol

I’ve been told I have to say “jock” although I don’t think you have to fit into a category like that! This is because I played a lot of sport, mostly basketball where I was picked to play for Ireland when I was in school. Although can’t I be a hybrid geek-jock-rebel? That would be the best combination I think. 🙂
