Question: is it possible to create a submarine that is eco-friendly?

I think so! This is a big part of the research I’m doing, trying to make a fuel efficient submarine. I can imagine, in the future, having a submarine which comes to the surface to recharge its batteries using solar panels, then going under again so would have a completely renewable power source! Also, in my lab, we have a couple of human powered submarines (someone sits inside and pedals, like on a bike!), so they’re as eco-friendly as a human, at least!
