I dont agree that Chips are bad for you. I think its about the way that you cook them. I mean a chip is a potato anyway.
For me i think the best way to cook chips is by deep frying. Of course this is unhealthy, but even oven chips have been fried at the factory before putting them in your oven. They go through a process known as flash frying, which doesnt cook them, but gives them colour.
I think the best way to do a low fat chip (this is how my mum makes them)
Cut your potato into chips, and boil them for 5 mins
Spread them out on baking try, and spray with oil (you can buy this in the shop – its called fry lite)
and bake them for 25 mins. – Makes perfect chips which are healthy and taste great! 🙂
Another good tip is that it is healthier to eat chunky chips. This is because a chunky chip has less surface area than if you cut it into several thin chips. More surface area means more oil on the surface -> less healthy! 😉
