at the moment, im working on a project to replace a nasty chemical in Scampi called “sodium tripolyphosphate”. What this does is keep the scampi all nice and juicy and yummy. Some people can be allergic to polyphosphate, and it can be bad for your health sometimes, so i want to try and get rid of it from recipes altogther. I am looking at something called tapioca to do this with, and its worked so far! Some products in shops have this in it already from the work we have done, but its very expensive and some people dont want to buy it for this reason. I’m still working on it though! Actually today ive been looking at getting some exciting chemicals from lemons to use instead!!

I’m looking at why there were so many polio cases in Pakistan last year – see my profile! I’ll try and add some pictures so you can see for yourself…

At the moment I am working on several projects. But most recently I have been working, trying to get a new telescope working. And since last week it is working! So now I am using it and trying to make it work smoothly (’cause it has a few gremlins still!). With this telescope I will search the sky over Europe looking for stars that go bang as well as studying some pulsars to see how they behave.

I’m currently looking at features of the parasite that causes Malaria to see if I can work out a new way of treating Malaria. I’ve written in more detail on my project on my profile page, so you can find out more details there 🙂

The research I’m doing at the moment is working out the best way to flap some rubber fins to make a submarine move! I’m not sure if the best way is to copy a dolphin, penguin, turtle or some other animal I haven’t thought of yet!

So I’m designing some experiments and some equipment to find out!
