Hi 08psamuelson. This is a question everybody has thought about at some time. I’ve thought about it a lot actually. I think that when you die nothing happens. I don’t believe in heaven or hell or purgatory or nirvana or anything like that. I think that when you are dead you are just gone. That’s why I don’t worry about it and try to enjoy my life always 😀
What do you think happens?

I don’t believe in heaven or hell, when you die, you die. Nothing happens. Of course something will happen to all the atoms that make a person – they can’t die, and they will probably end up in the grass being a part of nature 🙂
So I don’t’ worry about it either. I make sure I do the best with my life and make sure I’m happy!

I find it really hard to believe something without seeing evidence first. I guess it’s the scientist in me!
Though we can be certain that, when we die, our bodies will slowly break down and, as Ailsa said, return to nature.

I agree as with both of you as well but I cant get over the though that ‘nothing’ happens to you. It just doesn’t seem possible for there to be nothing at all. 😀

Nothing happens to our consciousness, it just goes. I think that’s just something you gradually accept. People live on in people’s memories though and as I said the atoms that are part of us become something else. 🙂
What do think might happen – if you don’t believe in an afterlife?

It is hard to comprehend I suppose. But it is very good that you are thinking about such important questions. It is important that we find answers for these things ourselves which we are happy with, and that’s what you’re doing. 😀

I find that is immposible to think about not existing not thinking, thats why I belive that something has too happen when you die
