      I think it might be a calcium deposit but I’m not sure.

      Mostly they are due a slight injury to your nail – probably something you might not even notice. Sometimes they indicate a minor zinc deficiency – nothing worth worrying about, you would just need to make sure you ate some foods containing zinc.
