Gravity is one of the basic laws of the universe! Without gravity we wouldn’t have planets, stars or galaxies.

If gravity just vanished one day everything on earth would start to float away, even the air!

This is a very deep question. Of course we can talk about how gravity works (and if you have any questions about how it works then ask me them), and we know it is important, but why does it exist in the first place. This seems to be your question. The answer is I don’t know what the point of gravity is.

However I am glad it exists or we would not exist to ask all these questions on I’m a Scientist. 🙂

Why it exists, like Evan, I don’t know. But I’m glad it does or there would be nothing on Earth!
