My favourite animal has to be the meerkat! I’m in love with that crazy advert and would love one as a pet! 🙂 *simples*

Hmmm, I don’t think a meerkat for me as my favourite (but I do like the ad too!). I like monkeys! I saw the coolest monkey in Chester Zoo before. Not sure the exact type of monkey but it was not very big and it had a tiny baby monkey grabbed onto its back and they had their tails entwined so that the baby wouldn’t fall. It was lovely.

I wouldn’t like to have it as a pet though of course. They should be free to swing around on trees or whatever it is they want to do! 😀

Unlike Evan I am not keen on monkeys – I used to think they were cute until some started chasing me up a very steep mountain, they were a mean looking and had me surrounded (people had probably fed them in the past and they were viciously after food).
I think penguins are cute. They look all awkward on land but are incredibly graceful in the water. When I lived in the US the local zoo had a webcam on their penguin pool and our whole lab would crowd round when it was feeding time – our boss thought we were crazy but it was just too cute!
      🙂

But there are so many to choose from! Mammal: a horse – preferably one that I own and ride every day. Fish: Kribensis – they are African fishes that live in rivers and mess about with each other in the fish tank I have. Bird: Gannet – they’re just great divers, Reptile: gecko

I think it has to be mantis shrimps. They are weird relatives of lobsters that punch their prey to crack their shells! Their punch is strong enough to break out of glass aquariums (or break your fingers!) but also look really amazing (google peacock mantis shrimp). They also have some of the most advanced eyes in nature, some scientists have looked at their eyes as a potential replacement for reading CDs!
