My first jobs were in university holidays and they were as a school lab technician and also in a food packing factory. My first job after I’d finished university was as scientific researcher, which is the same job I do now (although it was in a different univeristy).

During school, I worked a few weekends and summer days helping my dad working in construction, building houses. Although I don’t know how much help I was! Then, my first proper job was in a music shop in Galway. It was called Zhivago and I worked there in the summer and xmas. It was always very busy but it was easy to keep super up to date on all musical matters!

I did some work experience in year 10 working with computer support for the National Trust. My first real job though was a year out during university working as a production engineer for a company that made car engine parts.
