I travel around Europe a lot, I spend a lot of time in factories in Poland working on new products which we will plan of making in those factories. I also travelled to Vietnam recently to see how raw material used to make Scampi (called Nephrops norvegicus) is peeled and de-shelled before been sent back to england to be made into Scampi.

I think it is the Parkes telescope in Australia. There are kangaroos that live beside the telescope and they just hop around without a care in the world! Also, there are loads of cool birds and frogs there too! Oh ya, and deadly snakes and spiders, but they are not so nice!

I plan to go to a local zoo or aquarium soon to video some penguins and, I hope, so dolphins!

I worked in a university in USA for 4 and a half years and had to travel around the US a bit as part of that job. Earlier this year I worked in a lab in Toronto, Canada for 5 weeks. I have been to Switzerland and Poland for conferences recently.

But one of the more interesting places I go are synchrotrons which are small particle accelerators that produce the X-rays I need to solve protein structures. Here is one of the synchrotrons I visit in France (the others are in Chicago, Hamburg and down the road from Oxford) http://www.esrf.eu/AboutUs
