• Question: who is your favourite monarch?

      Lol! You know I’ve never thought about that! I don’t think I have one really. Monarchs are a bit old-fashioned in my opinion. I think I prefer leaders that get chosen by the people, not ones who get to be leaders just by being born! 😉

      I think the old Queen does a reasonable job of meeting and greeting visiting heads of state and things. She doesn’t impact my life in anyway, she just gets on with her job.

      Unlike Evan I’m unsure about an elected head of state as that could bring politics into the position and I think it’s a job that should be above political affiliations. But then I have grown up in a country where we have a monarchy and Evan grew up in a country that didn’t.

      It’s so hard to pick a monarch that is awesome but also hasn’t done something really bad!

      I think the current queen is pretty impressive – she’s 85 and still travels the world… and always in high heels!

      I like some of the really old monarchs too, if only for their names, who wouldn’t want to be called “…the Magnificent”!?
