• Question: Why do you get taller in your sleep?

      This is interesting. You are taller in the morning than you are in the evening. This is because during the day all your body weight and bones and stuff are weighing down on you and you get a bit compressed and so are not so tall. At night you get to lie for hours and so the weight of your body is not pressing down on you and your bones and organs and muscles stretch out again and you are a bit taller in the morning! Have you measured yourself first thing in the morning and last thing at night? Can you notice the difference?

      Of course another reason you get taller in your sleep is when you are just growing, when you are a teenager. I think this is because your body is too busy being used during the day (walking, talking, stretching, carrying, running etc.) to be able to grow so it saves its growing for night time when your body is not very busy. 😀
